Music gives children more than the ability to perform. It teaches listening, discipline, patience, expression and collaboration. Yet access to meaningful music education can often depend on circumstance.

Every generation deserves the opportunity to discover the power of music.
Bangalore Music Trust seeks to create pathways for musical learning, nurture emerging talent and contribute to a culture where music continues to be valued, practiced and shared.

Supporting Talent • Inspiring Generations
Bangalore Music Trust is envisioned as a platform that brings together learners, educators, artists and supporters of music to create meaningful opportunities for musical education and expression.
Four connected areas of work, from a child's first lesson to the traditions that hold a community together.
Music is learned over years, not hours. We think of it as a journey with distinct stages, each building on the last, rather than simply a class.
Areas the Trust intends to explore with learners and educators.
Alongside Hindustani classical music, Bangalore Music Trust also offers training and education in Western vocals and Western musical instruments.
Vocal training in the Western tradition builds a strong foundation in breath control, pitch, tone and singing technique. Learners develop musical expression and the confidence to perform, whether solo or in a group.
Instrumental learning in the Western tradition combines hands-on practice with an understanding of musical technique, reading and ensemble playing. The Trust brings this training together with performance experience across keyboard, string and percussion instruments.
The change music makes is often quiet: a child who listens more closely, practises a little longer, and stands a little taller in front of others.
